Tradition and taste have a name – T&D
Just as Jungfernstieg and the Speicherstadt belong to Hamburg, so
too does the fascinating world of spices.
Since the 'spirit of spice' characterised the history of many
Hanseatic merchant families, in the same way it shaped the history
of the Terheggens.
As early as 1929, the family took over the Carl F. H. Seyer spice
mill and successfully began producing and trading refined spices.
The classic range was first broadened to diverse spice mixtures,
and later this area was expanded further with the company's own
product developments and customised mixtures using a variety of
sources.
In 1992, after welcoming Jürgen Dethlefsen to the executive board,
the company was renamed as Terheggen & Dethlefsen Food
Engineering Ltd.
